Candidates for LASIK Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C.

At any of the TLC Eye Care Centers throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C., a free consultation is provided to determine which patients are candidates for LASIK surgery and which ones are better for PRK. If a patient isn’t at least a low-risk candidate, they will be turned away for their safety.
The only way a patient will know what procedure is right for them is to visit a laser center and have testing done. Here at TLC, we do a free consultation, and we take this very seriously. We do a lot of tests to determine whether or not you’re a candidate. If you’re anything other than low-risk, you’re deemed a non-candidate. That’s approximately 20% of the people we see. Another 20% we receive are better candidates for PRK and not Lasik. We will tell you exactly what’s right for you, what is the safest option, and what will be the best fit for you.
